5 COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS AND FEARS OF TRAVELLING ALONE

1-2

“IS IT SAFE?”

Adapt and be smart. The only way you can battle this fear is by adapting and accommodating to your surroundings. How about camouflaging to that place with their trends. Get that boho chic attire back or dress like that localite.

A big no to being flashy or over reaching and safety should always be a top most priority where your personal contact information and other basic necessities should be intact.

“I MIGHT GET LONELY”

Waiting and convincing people to join you for your ideal vacation spot with your whims and wishes is usually a mind wrecking job. How about not going through that stage at all.
Get yourself out there, meet new people, make new bonds and connections, it is something which everyone should try at one point in life. How do you know you will get a chance like that again?

2

“BOREDOM”

Every tiny detail you encounter will be so stimulating because you will be experiencing everything first hand. Relish the novelty, take every thing like a breath of fresh air. There will be little room for boredom if you’re embarking on a fun-filled adventure.

3

“WHAT IF I SPEND TOO MUCH?”

Make sure that you plan your budget accordingly and well in time. Make a planner and always save. That’s the best solution you can come up with. An added tip would be to keep some extra cash aside to use it on an emergency basis.

4

“I’M LOST”

Leaving your comfort zone for an alien land with language and ethnic issues can be a bit of an issue especially when travelling alone abroad. Make sure to always imbibe and learn lingos which could make a basic conversation easier. Carry a local map with you at all times and you’re good to go.
